Living in Da Nang – and what I love in it

"Follow your passion, and enjoy
every step of the journey"

Hello There!

I'm Hana

A local vietnamese and the owner of Hana’s Coworking

Da Nang is a young, lively city that’s growing fast, and I’ve been lucky to call it home.

Through this blog, I want to share the places that make Da Nang special — including the ones I personally love. You’ll see both the well-known spots and the quieter, more local that don’t always make it into guidebooks. It’s not about ranking the “best” places, it’s simply about sharing the ones I enjoy and visit myself

At the end of the page you will be able to find all the places linked in google map.

PLACES TO VISIT In Da nang

The Famous Places

Ba Na Hills

Ba Na Hills

is one of those places that feels a bit surreal – like stepping onto a movie set high in the mountains.
It’s touristy, yes, but also full of charm. Cable cars float above the forest, with amazing views.

The Golden Bridge is beautiful (and busy), but my favorite part was walking around through the quieter corners, climbing up and discovering beautiful views along the way.
It’s a fun and unique escape from the city – just make sure to go on a clear, sunny day.

Hai Van Pass

Hai Van Pass

isn’t just a road it’s the destination. The road curves between the mountains and the sea, with stunning views all along the way.

It’s worth stopping to take in the views, relax, and drink at one of the roadside stops. (that’s where I took the header photo on this blog).

If you’re riding a motorbike, it feels like real freedom. But if you’re not experienced on two wheels, no worries there are other options like going with a driver or joining a tour.

Cham Island

Cham Island

Cham Island is a peaceful place not far from Da Nang. You can get there by boat from Cua Dai, near Hoi An.

The island has clean beaches, clear water, and fresh seafood. Many people come to swim, snorkel, or just rest by the sea. If you want, you can stay overnight and enjoy the quiet evening.

There are no big hotels or busy streets — only a small village, a few roads, and nature. You can walk around or rent a bicycle to see more of the island.

Boats only go when the sea is calm, so it’s a good idea to check the weather before you go.

Son Tra Peninsula

Son Tra Peninsula

is one of my favorite places. I love how the road goes through the hills, opening up to views of the ocean and the city below. You can find hidden beaches along the way.

Stop for a fresh coconut on a cliff with an amazing panoramic view of Da Nang. Curious monkeys are often nearby don’t worry, they’re friendly, just keep an eye on your stuff!

It’s a small adventure close to the city feeling that you’ve gotten far away without going too far.

Marble moutains

Marble moutains

The Marble Mountains are just 4.4 km from Hana’s Coworking, making them a perfect spot for a short getaway. It’s great for hiking, enjoying nature, and soaking in the peaceful atmosphere. The weather there is usually cool and refreshing.

You can take the elevator up to the mountain and enjoy a scenic walk down while exploring caves, temples, and stunning views along the way.

Ban Co Peak

Ban Co Peak

Ban Co Peak is located on Son Tra Peninsula and is one of the best viewpoints in Da Nang.

From the top, you can enjoy a panoramic view of the city, the blue sea, and the surrounding mountains.

The place is linked to a legend about two immortals playing chess and features a stone statue that is popular for check-in photos. With its cool, peaceful atmosphere, it’s an ideal spot to watch the sunrise or sunset.

You can come here by grab, bike, oe hike.

I did 4.5 hours hiking ( 13km ) to get this view. It was a mazing.

Hidden Places

Sunset in Da Nang

Sunset in Da Nang

One of best places to watch the sunset, just a short drive from the center. It’s an open, peaceful spot right by the river and amazing for taking photos.

There are a few small drink stands along the road where you can sit and enjoy  while the sun goes down.

It’s best to go on a nice, clear afternoon. Simple, relaxing, and really beautiful.

Tien Sa Beach

Tien Sa Beach

On the west side of the Son Tra Peninsula, there’s a small beach with calm, clear water far from the noise and crowds. During the week, it’s usually peaceful, with just a few locals.

To get in, use the entrance from the Navy Hotel and pay a small fee of 10K.

It’s recommended to go midweek rather than on the weekend.

Magical Garden & Pagoda

Longhua Temple da nang

Magical Garden & Pagoda

A peaceful little spot to take a break in the middle of the day.
There’s a small garden with a fish pond, and it’s a nice place to sit and relax.

Locals come here to feel close to Buddha, but you don’t need to be religious to enjoy the calm.
It’s green, quiet, and a good place to clear your head.
You can even feed the fish if you want.

Lò gạch Cũ Farm

Lò Gạch Cũ Farm

It’s a peaceful café in the middle of the rice fields in Hoi An, run by a lovely local family. Just sit there, watch the fields, and sip something refreshing.

The drinks menu is also nice — simple, but really good.
I usually come here whenever I visit Hoi An.

You can even climb the old brick building for great photos – it’s a small adventure.

Son Tra Marina

Son Tra Marina

Sơn Trà Marina Café is a bit hidden on the right side of the road on the way to Linh Ứng Pagoda, but it’s absolutely worth stopping for. It’s a beautiful place to enjoy a drink with a bright, open view of both the mountains and the sea. The design is stunning, elegant, and very photogenic, creating a relaxing atmosphere that feels like a seaside escape.

Obama Beach

Obama Beach

Obama Beach in Da Nang is a hidden gem on the Sơn Trà Peninsula. You can ride a motorbike up the mountain, and when you see the sign on the right, take the small road leading toward the beach. After a short ride, you’ll park and walk down to the shore.

The beach is very clean, quiet, and uncrowded, with a calm, fresh atmosphere—perfect for relaxing, swimming, or just enjoying some peaceful time by the sea.

Đầm Lập An, Lăng Cô, Huế

Đầm Lập An, Lăng Cô, Huế

Lap An Lagoon (Lang Co, Hue) is located along the scenic route from Hai Van Pass to Hue. It is often compared to a “hidden paradise” from ancient costume films, with its untouched beauty and mystical atmosphere. The calm water reflects the surrounding mountains, creating a peaceful and poetic landscape.

I’ve been here a few times, yet I still feel drawn to return again and again.

Tu Tam Pagoda

Tu Tam Pagoda

It’s about 3.5 km from Hana’s Coworking, and getting there is very easy. You only need to go up a small mountain, and along the way you’ll be rewarded with a beautiful, peaceful view.

Because the scenery is so stunning, many people come here to take photos. I’ve been here several times, so I know this well. The best time to truly enjoy the view and atmosphere is before 8:00 a.m.—it’s quiet, calm, and almost no one is around.

The entrance is completely free, and it’s important to note that this place is not the Marble Mountains. Some visitors go the wrong way because the two locations are very close to each other, so keep that in mind when planning your visit. ( this entrance is opposite with 702 Le Van Hien )

Work space in Da Nang

Hana's Coworking

A story being written...

From someone who started with nothing but a dream to create a space for digital nomads — a place where we could work, connect, and share life together.

After founding and managing one of the first coworking spaces in Da Nang, I decided to create a space of my own — one that truly reflects my name, my heart, my vision, and everything I care about.

I didn’t start with advantages.
I was just a countryside girl who couldn’t speak English, who had never even stepped into a coworking space.
Everything I know today—everything I’ve built—came from learning along the way, from falling and standing up again, and from the generosity, ideas, and kindness of the people around me.

This journey was never mine alone.
And for that, I am deeply grateful to every soul who walked beside me.

Especially, I want to thank the one who stood with me through the hardest times.
The one who stayed when things were heavy, who was patient when I was unsure, who believed in me when I couldn’t see my own strength.
Without him, I wouldn’t be who I am today.
His love gave me courage, held me steady, and helped me rise through every difficult moment.

Every day, I listen.
Every day, I learn.
Every day, I grow.
And slowly, step by step, that dream became real.

I finally opened my own coworking space – a place built from resilience, love, and countless unseen moments.

A place now I call home

Food

International Food In Da Nang

If you know me, you know that I’m not usually a big fan of foreign food. So in this part, I had some help – but of course, I still tried and approved everything on the list.

Poke Wow

Poke Wow

Serving tasty poke bowls with fresh, quality ingredients. I prefer my fish cooked rather than raw, and they’re happy to make it that way. Portions are generous for the price, the staff is friendly and welcoming, and the place also works well if you just want to sit with friends over a beer or a glass of wine

Bread & Butter

It’s conveniently located in An Thượng, making it an easy to stop for dessert.

Vietnom Local Eatery

Vietnom Local Eatery

Vietnom Local Eatery is a vibrant, stylish, and welcoming restaurant in Bắc Mỹ An, just a short walk from My Khe Beach, making it an ideal spot for brunch, lunch, dinner, or a refreshing drink after a day by the sea.

The most special and inspiring part of this restaurant is its people. Many of the staff are hearing-impaired, and they communicate through eye contact, smiles, gentle gestures, handwritten notes, and simple sign language. This quiet connection turns every meal into more than just good food—it becomes a deeply human experience, warm, sincere, and truly memorable.

Dirty Fingers

Dirty Fingers

Dirty Fingers Da Nang is a very popular American-style restaurant, especially well-known for its burgers, ribs, and comfort food. The quality of the food here is consistently very good—everything is flavorful, and satisfying.

The prices are a bit on the higher side for me, but every time I’ve eaten here, I’ve never been disappointed.

The atmosphere is casual and lively, making it a great spot to go with friends when you’re craving something indulgent and filling. It’s definitely a place I come back to once in a while as a treat, because the food quality always makes it worth it.

Bhojan Indian restaurant

Bhojan Indian restaurant

Bhojan Indian Restaurant is a beloved Indian eatery in An Thuong, just a short ride from My Khe Beach. It’s known for serving authentic Indian flavors right in the heart of Da Nang, with a menu that offers rich spices, fragrant curries, and a wide variety of dishes that satisfy both locals and travelers alike.

Butcher Steak

Butcher Steak

Butcher Steak Restaurant is located in An Thượng. It has two floors and a beautiful space. I once organized a Christmas meetup for nomads here. The service is good, the food is good, and the staff are friendly. It’s a nice place for gatherings or a relaxed meal.

Local Food In Da Nang

Bếp Cuốn Đà Nẵng

Bếp Cuốn Đà Nẵng

A local restaurant that serves Vietnamese food at its best, staying true to tradition while adding a small twist that makes it more approachable for everyone.
The place is usually full, and for a good reason, it’s one of the most successful spots in the area

Bao An Macrobiotic

Bao An Macrobiotic

A vegeterian Vietnamese restaurant simple and cozy, with wooden tables and a countryside feel.
The food is fresh, clean, and made with good ingredients. Everything is healthy, and tasty.
It’s located away from the busy streets, so it’s a peaceful place to enjoy a local veggie meal.

Bếp Hên

Bếp Hên

They serve traditional Vietnamese dishes that taste just like home cooking, and they have a wide variety of dishes in interesting style. The place is beautifully decorated with a unique, vintage charm that feels different from traditional restaurants, and it always fills up quickly, so it’s worth booking a table in advance.

Kem dừa Mã Lai Ice Cream

Kem dừa Mã Lai Ice Cream

You’re in Da Nang, so you have to try something from the local street food scene, and this one’s a classic.

The coconut ice cream here is very good.
Fresh, fun, and just the right amount of sweet.

Prices are low, portions are big.
Perfect after dinner or a night out.

Bánh Xèo Bà Dưỡng

Bánh Xèo Bà Dưỡng

The restaurant is located in a small alley and serves bánh xèo, grilled fermented pork rolls (nem nướng), and grilled skewered beef eat with vegetables and sauce. These are simple, local dishes with affordable prices, around 100,000 VND.

Fresh and delicious.

Son Tra Retreat

Son Trà Retreat – Garden Lounge & Eatery is a beautifully designed restaurant and lounge nestled at the foothills of the Son Trà Peninsula, about 15 minutes from central Da Nang. Surrounded by greenery and a calm atmosphere, it’s a lovely spot for a romantic date, relaxed conversations, and enjoying good food in a peaceful setting.

Banh Trang Cuon Thit Heo

Banh Trang Cuon Thit Heo

Boiled pork is best enjoyed fresh, served with fresh herbs and fish sauce — a specialty of Da Nang. Almost every Vietnamese person loves this dish.

Not many foreigners can handle the strong fish sauce, but it’s very interesting to try.

Maha Vegetariano

Maha Vegetariano

It’s a very fancy vegan restaurant, and I really love this place. Not just because of the food, but because of the atmosphere. Everything is designed like walking into a Buddha-inspired space — calm, peaceful, and relaxing. Being here helps you slow down, clear your mind, and feel at peace.

Kem Bơ

Kem Bơ

This avocado ice cream stall is located inside Bắc Mỹ An Market. It’s a simple, local dessert made from fresh avocado and creamy ice cream, but the flavor is surprisingly special.

The avocado is rich and naturally buttery, perfectly balanced with the cold, slightly sweet ice cream. It’s not fancy at all—just honest, traditional street food—but that’s exactly what makes it so good.

If you’re visiting Đà Nẵng and want to try a truly local treat, this avocado ice cream is absolutely worth a stop.

The price is 20,000 VND
